Our story
From one website to a worldwide team
I am Muhammad Haris, an SEO specialist from Pakistan and the founder of Onyx Growth Lab. Online, you may know me as Haris Altaf SEO. My story with search began with a simple question: why do some websites show up on Google while others, just as good, never get seen?
I did not have clients to practice on, so I used my own website as a test lab. I published, measured, broke things, and fixed them. That is where I learned technical SEO, keyword-clustered content, and how to read what Google Search Console is really telling you.
The work then moved to real businesses: law firms, healthcare providers, and marketing agencies that needed SEO they could trust. I led SEO teams, delivered white-label work for agencies, and when answers started shifting to ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, I added AI search (AEO and GEO) to everything we do.
Along the way I kept seeing the same problem. Small businesses were paying one freelancer for SEO, another for social media, another for ads, and nobody was working toward the same goal. Onyx Growth Lab is my answer: one team that covers SEO, social media, paid ads, content, and web, at prices a growing business can actually afford.
Today that team is more than 100 people, and we work with clients in Lebanon, India, Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, and more. We are growing fast, but the rule has not changed: tell clients the truth, do the work properly, and show results in plain language.
