Snapshot
- Client: Founder of a small online store selling handmade accessories and gifts
- Market: E-commerce store shipping to customers in several countries
- Services: Product page SEO, store speed and design fixes, Google Shopping setup, email and social media setup
- Timeline: 5 months
The Challenge
She built her store after her friends kept asking where she bought her accessories. Orders came in, but growth had stalled. Most visitors landed on her site, scrolled for a few seconds and left without buying.
Her products were beautiful, but her product pages did them no favors. Photos loaded slowly on phones, descriptions were short and vague, and many shoppers abandoned their carts at checkout. She was spending money on ads to bring people in, but the store wasn’t turning them into customers.
What We Did
1. Made the store fast and easy on mobile
Most of her customers shop on their phones, so we started there. We compressed images, simplified the layout and made the buttons easy to tap. Pages loaded faster and shopping felt smoother.
2. Rewrote product pages
We replaced the short descriptions with clear, honest ones: what the product is, who it’s for, the size and materials, and how to care for it. We also added helpful details like delivery times and returns, which are the things shoppers worry about before they buy.
3. Showed up where shoppers search
We optimized her products for the way people actually search, such as “gift for her” and “handmade everyday accessories”, and set up Google Shopping so her products appeared with photos and prices right in the search results.
4. Brought customers back
We set up a simple email flow: a welcome message, a reminder for abandoned carts, and a thank-you email that asked for a review. Customers who had already bought once started coming back.
The Results
- 2x online sales within 5 months
- +135% organic traffic to product pages
- -28% cart abandonment after the checkout fixes
- 40% faster mobile page loading
- 22% of monthly revenue now coming from returning customers
Her ad budget stayed the same, but each rupee, dollar or pound brought in more sales. More of her sales now come from free search traffic and repeat customers.
In Her Words
“I thought I needed to spend more on ads. It turned out my store just needed to be easier to shop. Now more people who visit actually buy, and many come back.”
